Free Easter Egg Hunt at HCNC

Apr. 12: Bring your children to our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12 from 10 am to 12 pm. Rain or shine! Age Groups: 3 and under; 4 to 7 years; and 8-11 year. Hunt starts PROMPTLY at 10 am for the 3 and under, 11 am for the 4-7 year olds and 11:30 am for the 8 – 11 year olds. Bring a basket or we will have extras. We have over 1,500 eggs this year! Please meet in the Interpretive Center. Event takes place in our Prairie (just north of the Interpretive Center beyond the parking lot). Apr. 12: Come visit the Easter Bunny on April 12th from 10 am to 1 pm at the Sand Lake VFW. #15


God’s Kitchen in Cedar Springs

Apr. 15: God’s Kitchen – Cedar Springs welcomes families from Northern Kent County and the surrounding area to a Tuesday Evening Meal. No charge – no registration required! Join us for dinner every Tuesday. Served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm at the Blessed John Paul II Church, 3110 – 17 Mile Rd., Cedar Springs. For more information, call the Church office at 616-696-3904. #15


Meet the Author: Mardi Jo Link

Apr. 16: Mardi Jo Link will speak about her book, Bootstrapper, as part of “Our Community Reads.” She will be at the Sand Lake/Nelson Township KDL Branch, 88 Eighth St. on Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 pm. Books will be available for purchase. #15


Cedar Springs Community Night

Apr. 17: Come to the 28th Annual Cedar Springs Community Night. Free admission! There will be booths, demonstrations, performances, and more. New to the event this year will be the performances and displays of CSPS Fine Arts. We are very excited to have them as an addition and believe it will be an exciting evening. Food will be available for purchase at the Boosters concession stand. Thursday, April 17 from 6  to 8:30 pm at the Cedar Springs High School (off East Muskegon east of Main St.) Presented by the Community Action Network in cooperation with the Cedar Springs Public Schools Fine Arts Department. #14-16f


CS Lions Club Pancake Breakfast

Apr. 19: The Cedar Springs Lions Club will host a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 19th, from 7-11 am at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church on the corner of Main and Church St. Adults are $7, Seniors $6, Family $10, and under 12 are free. All you can eat – pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, juice and coffee. Proceeds assist sight conservation. #15


Easter Egg-Stravaganza

Apr. 19: An Easter Egg-Stravaganza, a celebration for children will be held on Saturday, April 19th from 1:00-2:30 PM at the Solon Center Wesleyan Church. All children 10 years and under are invited to attend. There’ll be games, candy, prizes, snacks and a special Easter presentation. Two bicycles will be given away as grand prizes. Earth Day – Volunteer Day at HCNC

Apr. 19: Celebrate Earth Day with HCNC – FREE. This event will feature exhibits, displays, and activities aimed at educating Kent County about protecting your environment. Bring the family and join in the activities: Water activities, planting of seedlings/flowers, and help planting a garden. Join us outside for volunteering in beautifying our property. We will be painting, raking, sweeping, fixing boardwalks, building better animal sanctuaries and so much more. Saturday, April 19 from 10 am to 1 pm. Easter Worship Celebration at The Springs

Apr. 20: This Easter, when the eggs are found and the baskets are unwrapped, will you feel satisfied or still searching? Join us at The Springs Church for a celebration full of joy and meaning, not empty ritual. Your whole family will enjoy the great music, fun for the kids, and a message that will bring direction and encouragement to your faith journey. Come find what’s missing in your Easter! We’ll be looking for you. Easter Worship Celebration on Sunday, April 20th at 9:40 and 11:15 am. We are located at 135 N. Grant St. in Cedar Springs.
