Harvard Fire question

Last week we ran an article about the fire that occurred in the old Harvard fire department building, which was currently being used for apartments.

Fire Chief Don Riker said that someone told him that the building began as a railroad depot back in the late 1800s. However, another source told us that the old Toledo, Saginaw & Muskegon railroad depot was used in a practice burn back in the 1950s, and this building was not the old railroad depot. If there is anyone who knows, or has more information, please contact Judy Reed at news@cedarspringspost.com or cspostjudy@hotmail.com.
