Snowshoe Fun at HCNC

Jan. 12: What a better way to get out and enjoy our Michigan winters than to experience it on snowshoes at the Howard Christensen Nature Center. Beginners can join Kare Greenup as she guides you through the process of leaning to snowshoe (it is so easy!) and then take a slow guided hike. Best suited for ages 15 – 100! Donation of $6 per person or $10 for a family of 4 or more. Serious Snowshoe Sundays are January 12 & 19, Feb. 2, 9 & 16 from Noon to 3 pm. Are you serious about getting in shape this winter? Snowshoeing is a great cardiovascular workout. Start with an indoor warm-up program, then suit up and hit the trails for a bout of invigorating exercise. Best suited for teens and adults. Bring your own shoes or borrow ours, included in the price. Donation of $5 session or $20 for the entire series (5 weeks). If snow conditions are not adequate, a vigorous hike will substitute walk.
