Choir Cantata at Cedar Springs UMC

Dec. 29: CSUMC Adult Choir will present the cantata “All is Well” by Michael Barrett and David Angerman during our 10:00 a.m. worship on Sunday, December 29. This cantata blends traditional carols with contemporary Christian selections including “Here I Am to Worship” and “Breath of Heaven” as well as the title song “All is Well.” Come and hear the Good News of this season through beautiful music and powerful words that remind us of God’s great gift – Jesus Christ. Supervised nursery care is provided. #52

 

TOPS weight loss support group

Dec. 31: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are cancelled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Martha at 696-1039 for more information. #52

 

Fancy Nancy Soiree (that’s fancy for party!)

Dec. 31: Come dressed in your fanciest regalia and baubles (clothes and jewelry) as we celebrate the magnificent Fancy Nancy Storytime, complete with glamorous crafts and tasty surprises. For all ages. Tuesday, December 31st at 10:30 am. Sand Lake/ Nelson Township KDL Branch, 88 Eighth St. #52

 

Family Building Bricks Party

Jan. 2: Design, build and bond. Bring the whole family together and create a towering monument using the library’s building bricks. The best part? No big mess to clean up! For all ages. Thursday, January 2 at 5 pm, Spencer Township KDL Branch, 14960 Meddler Ave., Gowen. #52

 

Think Outside the Cage “National Bird Day”

Jan. 4: Come bird count with us, name the species. Catherine Karsen will lead you on a Bird Count, a small hike in search of our feathered friends. Many recognize this special day as “National Bird Day” Listen to the beautiful songs the birds sing. Decorate trees with bird feeders; Pine cone feeders and “wreaths” shaped covered with peanut butter and birdseed, that will be made in our Interpretive Center. We will have Free Birding Kit for the first 20 signups from Cornell University. Saturday, January 4 from 1 to 3 pm. Life-Sized Candied Land

Jan. 4: Everyone’s invited to play a giant version of a favorite childhood board gave. Follow the colored squares as you walk across the gumdrop bridge and voyage through the candy cane forest… but don’t get stuck on a licorice spot! For all ages.
