Kent County Jail featured in TV show

The Kent County Correctional Facility will be featured in a national TV program starting this Saturday.

Residents can get a sneak peak inside the Kent County Correctional Facility when it is highlighted in the TV Show MSNBC Lockup–Extended Stay beginning this Saturday, November 23.

According to the Kent County Undersheriff Jon Hess, the TV show spent four months last summer filming the daily life of the inmates and Correctional staff at the jail, located at 703 Ball Avenue, in Grand Rapids.

They will air six episodes with the first showing on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 10 p.m. EST on MSNBC. Each new episode will air the next Saturday at 10 p.m. If you missed an episode, a repeat of the last week’s show will air on Saturdays at 9 p.m. EST.
