Evergreen Workshop

Nov. 15: The Greenville Garden Club will host a hands on workshop on making evergreen wreaths, swags, and more for their Wednesday, November 20th meeting starting at 7 pm at the Greenville Community Center, 900 East Kent Rd., Greenville. President Joyce Kebless will conduct the workshop and provide materials. Non-members will be charged a small materials fee, and must RSVP to Joyce at 616-754-9759 by Friday, Nov. 15th. #46

 

Solon Center Wesleyan Church Bazaar 

Nov. 16: Accomplish your Christmas shopping at our annual craft bazaar. Saturday, November 16th from 9 am to 3 pm. Lots of vendors (our largest bazaar in many years). Delicious, fresh baked cookies and bars, numerous booths of hand crafted items and jewelry, and many other vendors. There’s definitely something for everyone. Rolls and coffee, and a lunch counter are also available. The church is located at 15671 Algoma Avenue, just north of 19 Mile Road. #44-46p

 

Dinner at the Legion

Nov. 18: American Legion, 80 Main St. Cedar Springs, is hosting a pork chop dinner on Monday, November 18th, from 5 – 7 pm. Included will be mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, veggies, salad, dessert and drinks. All dinners are $9, children $4.50. Enjoy home cooking. Take out is available. 616-696-9160. #46p

 

TOPS weight loss support group

Nov. 19: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are cancelled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Martha at 696-1039 for more information. #46

 

Senior Lunch

Nov. 20: We’ve come to our Season Finale. Ma n Pa are closing the Cafe for the winter. Saving the best for last, Ma’s serving up her super-duper pork loin with veggie and … Ya never know, Ma may even toss in a salad and desert. Ya’ll age 60 n older are just gonna hafta come to our corner of M-82 and Beech at noon the 20th to find out. See ya’ll there! #46

 

Benefit Fundraiser

Nov. 23: A benefit fundraiser will be held for L. Arlene Rieckman (Wilson) on Saturday, November 23 at the Moose Lodge, 5649 S. Greenville Rd. Arlene has stage 4 lung cancer. Dinner is $10 from 5 to 7 pm and there will be a 50/50 raffle, auctions, food music and dancing. Please com help raise some funds while having fun! #46

 

Treat and Craft Sale

Nov. 23: Pioneer CRC is having a treat and craft sale on November 23 at Solon Township Hall on Algoma from 11 am to 4 pm. There will be Christmas candies and breads, as well as other fun Christmas treats. There will also be crafts, homemade blankets and other items for sale. The proceeds will be going for our new church building on the corner of Algoma and 17 Mile Rd. #46

 

Natural Ornaments & Pinecone Wreaths for the Holidays

Nov. 24: Come to Howard Christensen Nature Center, 16190 Red Pine Dr., Kent City, to create a selection of holiday ornaments made from natural and collected materials used to bring a bit of the outdoors into your home this season. This class is best suited for adults and older teens. Wreaths have always been a favorite decoration of many as they’ve been a traditional symbol of the holidays for years. Sunday, November 24 from 10 to 12 pm. A donation of $10 is appreciated. All creations can go home with you. You can bring things from home to add special memories.
