There are two things you can’t argue with: Mother Nature and cows.
It wasn’t exactly what they had in mind, but because of trouble with the weather and the cow, the Cedar Springs Rotary Club converted the third annual Cow Plop Raffle, which was held October 26, into a traditional raffle.
According to Rotarian Gabrielle Warner, Rotarians hung out inside and had coffee and donuts with community members, and then drew the winners at noon. The first prize of $1000 went to Joyce Gray of Howard City; second prize of $350 went to Tina Hall of Choice One Bank; and third prize of $150 went to Todd Hanson of Nelson Township!
“Congratulations to our winners and thanks to all raffle participants,” remarked Warner.
Proceeds from this raffle support The Cedar Springs Rotary Club Foundation Scholarships Fund for Scholarships that they award through several programs to students right here in the Cedar Springs Area.
