Cedar Springs Class of 2003 Reunion

Sept. 27: The Class of 2003 will be celebrating its 10 year class reunion on Friday, October 4 at 7 pm at McFadden’s in Grand Rapids. The cost is $25 per person and must be received by September 27. CS Women’s Club Hosts Huge Indoor Yard Sale

Sept. 28: Attention shoppers, buyers, customers, and bargain hunters of all ages! The Cedar Springs Women’s Club will hold their annual “Indoor” Yard Sale on Saturday, September 28 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church on the corner of Main and Church Streets in Cedar Springs. Just follow the signs to the entrance. Hundreds of household items, small appliances, books paintings, holiday items and pieces of furniture will be waiting for just the right bargain hunter to take them home. All items must go! Red Flannel Day Talent Show

Oct. 4: Come see great local talent perform on stage at the historic Kent Theatre, 8 N. Main St., Cedar Springs. Saturday, October 5th, right after the Red Flannel Parade at about 4:30 pm. Tickets are only $3 per person. #39,40p


Green Flying High Kite Day

Oct. 6: Howard Christensen Nature Center will help you make a homemade kite or bring an already made kite and then we will fly high in the sky! Sunday, October 6th from 2 to 4 pm. Donation of $4.00. Family fun for all! #39

MCC Hosts College Day

Oct. 8: High school students and adults considering attending college can gather information from more than 40 colleges, universities and the military during the 23rd annual College Day on Tuesday, October 8 at Montcalm Community College, in the Activities Building gym, Sydney. Between 9 and 10:30 am, attendees can discuss courses of study, costs and other college information with college and military representatives. Admission is free. Babysitting Certification Class

Oct. 11: A babysitting certification class will be held on Friday, October 11th from 2 – 5 pm at Cedar View Elementary. You will learn about the basics of CPR, rescue breathing, what are appropriate foods for children from the instructors from Spectrum Health Lifestyles of Greenville. This class will help babysitters learn about safety for children, safety for themselves, and do some roll playing of various situations. Great for nursery workers, big brothers/sisters, as well as the average babysitter. Must be in at least 4th grade to attend. Cost is $35 and registration deadline is October 4th. Write Michigan Short Story Workshop
