Vehicles collide at Main and Muskegon St.

N-Accident-Main-and-MuskegonA Cedar Springs woman was hurt when the SUV she was driving collided with a van Wednesday morning in Cedar Springs.

According to Cedar Springs Police Chief Roger Parent, Jeanne Cullum, 66, was traveling eastbound on Muskegon Street about 10:30 a.m. September 4, when she entered the intersection at Main Street and struck the side of a Dodge van that was traveling northbound on Main Street.

The driver of the van, Nacey Allen Emmorey, 57, of Cedar Springs, told police the light was green when he entered the intersection. Cullum told police she did not recall what color the light was.

Emmorey complained of pain in his elbow and soreness in his shoulder, but was not transported to the hospital. Cullum was transported to the hospital due to the air bag deployment and neck pain. She was cited for disregarding a traffic control device.
