Cedar Springs Garden Club meeting

Aug. 13: The Cedar Springs Garden Club will meet Tuesday August 13 at 7pm at the Community Garden (corner of First & Cherry Streets), no meeting if it rains. #32

 

Rummage sale

Aug 14 & 15: The Cedar Springs United Methodist Women are having a rummage sale in the Fellowship hall of the United Methodist Church, 140 S. Main St. Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 9-7 and Thursday, Aug 15th from 9-2. Fill a paper bag with goodies on Thursday for $3. #32

 

Cedar Springs Community Players present:

Aug. 15-18: “A Night at the Wax Museum.” The hysterical meets the historical in this comic spoof about the wackiest wax museum you ever hope to visit! Performances will be held at the historic Kent Theatre on Aug. 15-17 starting at 7:30 p.m. and a 3 p.m. matinee performance on Sunday, Aug. 18. Tickets are $12 at the door; $10 pre-sale; $8 for children 12 and under and seniors 65+. Family Fun Day at Metron

Aug. 16: Metron of Cedar Springs, located at 400 Jeffrey, would like to invite the community to our Annual Family Fun Day on August 16 from 4 to 7 pm. Activities for the day include: Bounce House, Games for the Children, Live Entertainment, Antique Car Show, and Free Fingerprinting for children. Hope to see you August 16. #32

National Model Aviation Day

Aug. 17: Wolverine Skyhawks Model Club AMA #1514 invite you to support a great cause (Wounded Warrior Project) and enjoy a fun day of RC Model Aircraft flying on Saturday, August 17 10am-4pm at the Wolverine Skyhawks Field, 13540 West Street, Cedar Springs. Wild Wednesdays “Nature Art/Crafts”

Aug. 21: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Howard Christensen Nature Center. Nature Art/Crafts: Calling all children artists and children nature lovers. Spend the day creating art pieces and crafts finding great art in the outdoors. Creating ‘works of art’ that reflect what each child has seen, with paint, leaves, and more! Ages: 5 – 15 years old. Dress children in “play clothing” long sleeves they can roll-up and pants/jeans. Bring child’s backpack for carrying things through woods. Please bring a snack and drink. $8 per child.
