Snowmobile Show and Swap Meet

May 18: The West Michigan Snowmobile Museum will be hosting a Swap and Show on Saturday May 18th from 10 am to 4 pm. Swap and show is by donation to the museum. There is a special guest, food and raffles. Please join us for a great day with great people who share our hobby of current, vintage, antique, and unusual snowmobiles. Dinner at the Legion

May 20: American Legion, 80 Main St. Cedar Springs, is hosting a roast beef dinner on Monday, May 20th , from 5 – 7 pm. Included will be onions, mashed potatoes, veggies, salad, dessert and drinks. All dinners are $9, children $4.50. Enjoy home cooking, take out is available. 616-696-9160. #20

 

Permaculture – Working with Nature

May 22: The Greenville Garden Club’s May program is on permaculture, a sustainable design science that advocated growing in harmony with nature. Please join us on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 pm at the Greenville Community Center, 900 E. Kent Road. Guest speaker Victoria Schreur, will explain how to work with the soil, companion plant vegetables, herbs and fruit trees, and have higher yields by stacking and mulching. This program is free and open to the public. #20

 

Free Electronics Recycling Event

May 28-30: Cedar Springs High School is hosting a free electronics drop-off event at the school Tuesday, May 28 from 10 am to 6 pm, Wednesday, May 29 from 8 am to 6pm, and Thursday, May 30 from 8 am to 3 pm. Look for the Comprenew e-Drop trailer in the school parking lot. Acceptable items include office & household electronics (cell phones, radios, microwaves, VCRs, TVs), computer components & accessories. Almost anything with a cord or battery will be accepted. Comprenew will wipe or destroy all computer hard drives. No big box appliances, air conditioners or refrigerators. Proceeds from the recycling event will benefit Cedar Springs High School. #19,20p

 

Soldier of Faith Benefit Concert

May 31: A Soldier of Faith Benefit Concert for Greenville Community Church Worship Pastor, David Gonzalez, who is battling cancer. Please join us on May 31st at Greenville Community Church from 7 to 9 pm for music from Vertical Bridge, Bridgeway Worship Band, Exodus and the GCC Praise Band. Auditions for Summer Production “A Night at the Wax Museum”

June 17,18: Auditions are being held for CS Community Players summer production “A Night at the Wax Museum” The hysterical meets the historical in this comic spoof about the wackiest wax museum you ever hope to visit! Needed to fill the 30 roles are men, women and young adults, ages 15 on up! Auditions for the show will be held on June 17 and 18 at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Performance dates are August 15,16, 17 and 18 at the historical Kent Theatre in downtown Cedar Springs. Danish Festival Fundraiser Golf Outing

July 8: Please plan on attending the Danish Festival Fund Raiser Golf Outing scheduled for July 12th at Brookside Golf Course in Gowen. Enjoy friendship, nature, competitiveness, great food, support the  annual 49th Danish Festival and have fun to boot. Get your team together today! The cost is $200 per team, 18 hole, 4 person scramble, with a 9 am shotgun start and lunch at the turn. Registration deadline is July 8th.
