Police seek hit and run driver

Cedar Springs Police are looking for the driver that rear-ended another car Sunday afternoon and then fled the scene.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5. Patricia Biesiada, 46, of Rockford, was stopped at the light at Main and Musekegon Street, while heading south on Main Street, when a red Chevy Cobalt ran into the back of her car.

While Biesiada was pulling into the Admiral Gas Station, the red car fled south on Main Street, which turns into Northland Drive.

The passenger in the first car, Carol Gelwich, 70, of Grand Rapids, was taken to Butterworth Hospital with neck pain. The driver was not transported.

The driver of the red Cobalt was described as a white female, 35 to 45 years old, with an unknown passenger. Anyone with info should call the Cedar Springs Police Department, at 696-1311.
