Church Rummage Sale

Apr. 18-19: Resurrection Lutheran Church at 180 Northland Dr., Sand Lake is having a rummage sale on Thursday and Friday, April 18 & 19 from 9 am to 5 pm. Furniture, clothing, toys and more. #15,16p

 

Artist’s Reception

Apr. 20: Please join us from 4 – 7 pm on Saturday, April 20th at a reception honoring Alice Norton Powell and her 86 years of creativity and spirit. Come visit with Alice and enjoy this special evening exhibiting many of her works of art. This free event will take place at ‘The Studio’ located at 90 N. Main St. in Cedar Springs. #15,16p

 

Craft and Vendor Expo

Apr. 20: Hope Community Church, 7000 Myers Lake, Rockford is hosting a Craft and Vendor Expo on Saturday March 20th from 9 am to 3 pm. Many vendors and crafters with products, hand made crafts and jewelry. Free petting zoo, and bake sale. #15,16p

 

Shipshewana Indiana Bus Trip 

Apr. 20: Your tour includes: a thresher meal at an actual Amish home, a large brown bag filled with at least 5 local and authentic items from the local area vendors, and a chance to visit local shops. Fully escorted with a knowledgeable tour guide that will fill you in on the history and customs of the Amish. Transportation via Deluxe Motor Coach. Celebrate Earth Day with HCNC

Apr. 21: Come celebrate Earth Day at Howard Christensen Nature Center on Sunday, April 21 9am-12pm, donation $3.00 per person. Event will feature exhibits, displays and activities aimed at educating Kent County about protecting our environment. Bring the whole family and join in the activities: water activities, planting of seedlings/flowers and a walk through our Organic Garden, showing the straw bale usage, and what is planted. Garden Fun Storytime

Apr. 24: Celebrate the excitement of spring with garden-themed stories, crafts and activities! For ages 6 and younger.  Wednesday, April 24, 10:00am at Tyrone Township Branch, 43 S. Main St., Kent City. #16

 

Pine Grove Senior Lunch 

Apr. 24: Cock yer head and take a listen, there’s something happenin in the kitchen. Hark! I hear what we’ve been missin, it’s Senior Lunch 2013 shinny new and glistenin. Some old faithful and some brand new – say what, are we referring to you? The menu varies each time anew, some meatloaf or casserole or maybe a stew or two. The time and place have not changed for ease on your calendar to be arranged. For those at least age 60 this invite is complete. You know where it is we’ve saved you a seat. Mini-Garden – Preschoolers

Apr. 24: Introduce your little one to the wonders of nature at Howard Christensen Nature Center on Wednesday, April 24 12:30-2:30pm, donation $5.00 per child, parents free. Preschoolers will be transplanting already-thriving seedlings into pots filled with potting soil. Children will take home their accomplishments. Apr. 25: God’s Kitchen North welcomes Northern Kent County families to join us the 2nd & 4th Thursday each month for an evening meal. No charge – No registration required. Served from 6-7 p.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Family Center, 4865 11 Mile Rd. NE in Rockford. #16

 

Arbor Day at HCNC
