Many of our soldiers have traveled to Afghanistan, and our paper recently went the 7,000-plus miles to join them.

We received a request for a Post from one of our soldiers in Afghanistan—Spc. David Segard. When it arrived, he gathered his unit for a photo with the paper and emailed it back to us!

Spc. Segard said the unit is monitoring a checkpoint on one of the Afghan highways near Pakistan, to make sure people are not transporting things they shouldn’t, and they are helping to train the Afghan national police and Afghan national army. He said they would be returning sometime in June or July.

Thank you, David, and your friends for the great photo, and for reading the Post!
