After three robberies in downtown Cedar Springs in December, business owners are looking for advice on what to do if it should happen to them.

They can get some answers to their questions on Monday, January 21. Cedar Springs Police Chief Roger Parent will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Cedar Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and will speak to business owners about the thefts—what to do and how to stay safe. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at Perry’s Place, 91 N. Main St., Cedar Springs. Business owners do not have to be a Chamber member to attend.

In other Chamber news, they elected a new board in December. Elected were Shawn Kiphart, Judy Reed, Sally Howland, Keith Hall, and Christine Holman. The new board will choose executive positions and trustee appointments at the next meeting.
