The City of Cedar Springs accepted a property donation last Thursday evening, at its meeting on January 10.

Rebecca Brown donated property she owns at 166 N. Main St., which lies just north of Veteran’s Park, and is separated from it by Cedar Creek. A condition of the donation is that it be added to the park.

The City Council voted to approve the donation.

Dan Brown, who developed Veteran’s Park with donations and in kind gifts, will develop this piece of property also. “He has a basic idea of what he wants to do, and we’ll do what we can to move this forward,” said City Manager Thad Taylor. “I’m confident he will put together a nice looking park for us.”

If people want to help Dan with donations, please contact Thad Taylor at City Hall and he will connect you with Dan.
