James Mollema has been missing since about 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Police are searching for a Bostwick Lake man missing since Monday afternoon.

The Kent County Sheriff Department said that James Walter Mollema, 67, was last seen around 12:30 p.m. Monday walking westbound on Belding Road NE from Sunfish Lake Avenue.

Mollema is a white male, about 6-feet-two, 245 lbs and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white colored jacket and a Detroit Tigers baseball cap.

Police said  it is not typical for him to be gone like this.
