Funds to assist in radio updates
The Tri County Eagle Riders held a charity ride on September 8 to benefit the Sand Lake Police Department. They donated the proceeds to the SLPD on October 7 to assist with radio updates and repairs.
According to Sand Lake Police Chief Ken Williams, the total amount of the donation was $1,200.00. “This will be used to place a new radio antenna on the roof of the police department, buy a new radio for the police cruiser, provide programming software to the police department and upgrade all existing radios to be narrow band compliant,” noted Williams.
“On behalf of the Sand Lake Police Department, I would like to publicly thank the Tri County Eagle Riders for their generous donation and for their overwhelming show of support for their local police department,” said Williams.
