A little rain and chilly weather last Wednesday, October 31, didn’t keep the ghosts, goblins and super heroes away from the annual Halloween Spooktacular. Hundreds turned out for the event, put on this year by the new Cedar Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. It started at 4:30 p.m. with story time at the library, and trick or treating at 5 p.m. at area businesses. New this year was a costume contest ran on Facebook prior to the event, and food and glow sticks were available to purchase the night of the event. The rain did cause Calvary Assembly of God to move their carnival into the United Methodist Church on Main Street.
