Lynn Ann Sowerwine

Mrs. Lynn Ann Sowerwine, age 52, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012, at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was a devoted wife and mother who saw only the good in all people and would not hesitate to help and love anyone who crossed her path. She was always the first to give and always the last to take. She hated seeing things go to waste, adeptly fixing or creatively reusing anything she got her hands on. She loved to read, rarely seen without a book, or several, in tow. She had a boundless curiosity, always questioning and seeking for answers. She was a wonderful cook! One of her favorite pastimes was curling up in front of a fireplace during cold Michigan months. She received an associate’s degree from Grand Rapids Community College in 2011. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, whom with she shared a loving marriage for nearly 34 years; her four children, Tawnya (Matthew) Sowerwine of Madison, Wis., Christopher (Alyssa) Sowerwine of Madison, Wis., Kenneth Sowerwine of Ann Arbor and Sara Sowerwine of Grand Rapids; her father, Ben Stehlik and stepmother, Peggy Stehlik of Bullhead City, Ariz.; her mother-in-law, Barbara Edwards and father-in-law, Arthur Edwards of Fort Myers, Fla.; a large extended family; and many friends. A small memorial service for Lynn was held on Wednesday at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home in Cedar Springs. Pastor Barry Briggs officiating. Interment Stoney Point Cemetery, Atwood, IN. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Buckets of Rain, www.11oaks.org for drip irrigation in developing countries. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com
