Cedar Springs grad dies in car accident

A 2006 Cedar Springs High School graduate died last week when the car he was driving crashed in Fremont Township, in Saginaw County.

Nicholas Ronald Vietti, 24, was found dead at the scene by the Saginaw County Sheriff Department at about 3:45 a.m., Friday, October 5.

He was reportedly driving north on S. Fordney Road near Baumgartner when the vehicle crossed he center line and went off the left side of the road, where it hit a culvert and then went airborne before rolling. The Sheriff Department is still investigating the accident.

Nick is the son of Scott and Kathy Vietti, of Trufant, and brother to Tara (Mike) Triezenberg, of Grand Rapids, and Steven and Jason Vietti, also of Trufant. Funeral services were held Monday at the Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville.
