Virtual travel to Wales

Are you looking for a night of entertainment at a low cost? Do you like to travel and find it hard these days? Come and hear from world travelers and award winning film makers, Monty and Marsha Brown. The event will take place on Monday, October 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cedar Springs High School Auditorium. They will take you on a journey through Wales that will make you feel like you have made the trip. This Virtual Travel Adventure will show you things via your own personal tour guide and will be exciting to see as it is created with HD cinematography and filled with music.

Going on this trip through Wales will allow you to see the beauty of the spectacular countryside that many consider to be an extension of England. They with give you a tour of the capital and allow you to see the harbor area. The show will be filled with castles and other amazing pieces of archietecure, included unique bridges and historic churches. The travel also takes you to “Annie’s Farm,” which is the connection to Ellis island in New York and the story of ancestors coming over the ocean. This film is also filled with music as the presentors are musicians themselves.

The Cedar Springs Area Parks and Recreation Department is working to bring you a variety of multimedia presentations this year including shows on Madagascar, Egypt and San Francisco. On November 12, you can visit the fourth largest island of the world and hear about the pirate history of Madagascar. On March 4, we will visit Egypt and tour the Nile River with a historic persepective from Jesus’s time, and we will finish our travels here in the United States with a view of San Francisco and its earthquake ridden past on April 15.

You can travel to all four of these destinations for the small price of just $30 per person, or to just one locale for $10. Students can come with a paid adult for only $5. These are a great educational event for persons of all ages and great for families to come and enjoy together.

There is an intermission during the travel adventure that will include snacks and beverages for the traveling attendees. The event is held at the Cedar Springs High School Auditorium with the doors opening at 6 pm and the adventure beginning at 6:30 pm.
