Freshmen football takes one on the chin

Freshmen Red Hawks take down a FHE Hawk

Freshmen Red Hawks take down a FHE Hawk

On a week when the freshmen football team was looking to end a modest two-game losing streak, they traveled to Forest Hills Eastern short handed, hampered by the injury bug, with 5 players out of action. Determined not to let that stop them, the Red Hawks came out with a lot of heart and determination, and held the game in check for most of the first half. It has been a struggle in recent weeks, with players are being asked to switch positions and play in spots they have never played before. Despite all that, they remained focused the entire game!

Determined not to post the big goose egg, Cedar once again broke out their passing game, and put a touchdown on the board in the 4th quarter, with the final score being 21-8 in FHE’s favor.

These players will find their way back in the win column. With more reps at new positions, guys are determined to fill the voids left by injuries, and right this ship.

Join them this Thursday October 4 at 4:30 p.m., when they travel to Northview to take on the Wildcats!
