Parade route change for marching bands

Those who enjoy watching the marching bands in the Red Flannel Day parade need to be aware of a change in their route.

Red Flannel Festival President Michele Andres said that the school requested all bands be staged just south of Muskegon on Main Street. It’s easier logistically and the Grand Valley State University band (who will march this year) is very large. Marching bands will be on MAIN STREET ONLY of the parade route, not from the start at Fifth and Muskegon to Main. So if you normally sit on Muskegon Street and don’t want to miss them, you might want to find another location this year.

there is plenty of room and or space to line everybody in the parade including all of the bands. there was no reason what soever to seperate them. there was probably one thousand people that did not see the bands, and they to I am sure were disapointed. This was the most idioctic idea I have ever heard of.this was probably the worst parade I have ever seen on red flannel day in my 33 years being there.Hopefully we can get someone with A little more common sense to plan this parade route next year. thank you Edward J Darling.
