A 19-year-old Kent City teen is facing charges after allegedly trying to break in to an ATM last month.

According to the Kent County Sheriff Department, Richie Allen Yahne, 19, attempted to break into a Choice One Bank ATM machine at 450 W. Muskegon Street in Kent City, on June 18, at 300 a.m. The Sheriff Department sent out a surveillance photo that the Post and other news media put out on their website seeking the suspect. Yahne later turned himself in about 7 p.m. that evening.

Yahne was arraigned on charges of possession of burglary tools and malicious destruction of property more than $1,000 but less than $20,000, which is a felony. Bond was set at $10,000. He waived his preliminary hearing, and the case will move on to Circuit Court.
