Deputies arrest breaking and entering suspect

Jacob Ross

Trooper Patrick Agema, of the Michigan State Police in Lakeview, responded to a breaking and entering in progress Sunday in the 4000 block of County Farm Road, in Fairplain Township, east of Greenville.

He and Trooper Edward Brinkman, who responded to assist, found several items outside of a shed that had been removed by the suspect. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect flee from the area on foot with stolen items.

A neighbor of the 911 caller reported hearing noises inside of their garage, and the troopers found a 34-year-old Greenville man, Jacob Ross, who was found to have stolen property. Ross was arrested and a search located stolen property from 11 different vehicles and four separate buildings. Troopers were assisted by Montcalm County Sheriff Sgt. Waber, and Deputy Syrjila, who located and recovered two vehicles stolen by Ross.
