Sand Lake girl to sing at White Caps

Six-year-old Kacie Platz, of Sand Lake, will sing the national anthem at the White Caps baseball game this Saturday, April 14, at 1 p.m.

According to her mom, Deana Platz, Kacie sang “God bless America” at the Sand Lake 9-11 parade, and then one of the teachers at Tri County asked her to sing the national anthem at the boys varsity basketball game February 28.

“After she did that, it was kind of an offhand joke from my dad that she needs to sing for the Tigers because he wanted to watch a game,” explained Deana. So she made a call to both the Tigers and the White Caps, and directed them to see her sing on YouTube. “The White Caps called back and said they wanted her!” said Deana.

If you are looking for a reason to get out and see a White Caps game, check it out Saturday and give Kacie your support! You can also check out her video on YouTube by searching for Kacie Platz.
