Community Good Friday Service

Apr. 6: The Cedar Springs Ministerial Association would like to invite you to come together with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and worship our great God on Friday, April 6th at The Springs Church. The service will begin at 7 pm. Nursery will be provided for newborn – 3 years. Kids Church will be provided for 4 years to 4th grade. The Springs Church is located at 135 N. Grant St. Cedar Springs.  #14

 

Eggstravaganza

Apr. 7: Saturday, April 7, Eggstravaganza (Easter Egg Hunt+) from Noon to approximately 2 pm at Courtland Oakfield United Methodist Church, 10295 Myers Lake Ave. NE. TOPS weight loss support group

April 10: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss sport group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weight loss goals! Exercise 8-8:30am (optional), weigh-ins from 8:30am–9am and the meeting starts at 9:15am. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University 

Apr. 11: Solon Center Wesleyan Church offers Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. FPU is a life-changing program on personal finance. It is designed to teach families how to get out of debt, stay out of debt and build wealth. All material is biblically based and taught via entertaining video by New York Times best-selling author Dave Ramsey.  Classes begin Wednesday, April 11th @ 6:00 PM.  The cost is $89 for the FPU kit and includes lifetime membership to FPU and their resources.  Please call the church office to register and order your kit at 616-696-3229.  The church is located at 15671 Algoma Ave. in Cedar Springs, just N. of 19 Mile Road. #14

 

Community Conversations on Education

Apr. 11: The Center of Michigan is holding 250 Community Conversations  throughout the state. Conversations are open to the public and focus on pre-K – 12 Education. The Center for Michigan specifically wants to hear from parents, students, educators and employers on what is and is not working within our Education system. Please consider attending! Antique Road Show Style Antique Appraisals

Apr. 14: Certified Appraiser Joan Bunn, owner of “Joan & Associates”, Rockford Michigan will be at the Sand Lake United Methodist Education Building, 45 Sixth St. Sand Lake on Saturday April 14 from 10 am to 4 pm. Superheroes Away!

Apr. 14: You won’t want to miss this celebration of all things super! Come dressed as your favorite superhero and get ready to have fun listening to a story, playing games and making your own comic book. For all ages. Events at Howard Christensen Nature Center

Apr. 14&15: Green Fashion Show will be held Saturday April 14 from 1 – 4 pm. Enter your own recycled or refashioned design(s) to be views by the public, or come see what others have created. Learn about resale shopping and how to reuse some of your old clothes. Donation of $5 for audience members and $15 registration for designers. Sunday April 15 from 1 – 3 pm will be First Aid for Children. This program teaches children (ages 7-13) how to stay calm and how to act in an emergency situation. Participants will learn how to get help and what to do until help arrives. Basic first aid and rescue breathing skills and what to do in case of a fire will be introduced. Program fee is $6.50. Cedar Springs Community Night

Apr. 19: Make plans now to attend the 26th annual Cedar Springs Community Night Thursday April 19th at the Cedar Springs High School from 6 to 8:30 pm. The event is designed to showcase the school, businesses and organizations in and around the area. Admission is free for the general public. Senior Lunch Starts Soon

Apr. 26: The hitch as been worked out of our get-a-long. Ma n’ Pa are pleased to host another season of Senior Lunch at the Pine Grove Senior Café starting April 26th. Ma’s studying the cookbooks and Pa’s tunin up that fine tenor voice It’s fixin to be  fine fettle of a season. #14
