Smells like spring

Judy Gage already has flowers blooming in her yard.

It may only be the beginning of March, but a mild winter and temperatures in the 50s and 60s earlier this week has plants thinking its spring.

Judy Gage, of Courtland Township, brought in photos of a couple of different kinds of flowers blooming in her yard—snow flowers and crocuses. “They just started blooming in the last couple of days,” she said. “The snow flowers still had snow around them when they first started to bloom.”

Both Judy and Mary Cain, a Solon Township resident, reported that they have seen robins in their yard. “They have bright orange breasts this year,” said Mary. Neither has been able to get a photo of them.
