Maranda is excited to return to Cedar Springs with free fun for families!
Summer can officially get started on Thursday, June 21! That is when Maranda will be returning to Cedar Springs for another summer of Park Parties. The Cedar Springs Public School complex will once again be rockin’ with two hours of free food, games, rides, entertainment and valuable community resources.
“The Cedar Springs community is excited to have Maranda back for a third time and we are ready to help kick off the 2012 season,” said Amanda Gerhardt, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Cedar Springs. “We will be working on parking, activities, and more for the day in order to make in another success for thousands of community members.”
Cedar Springs previously hosted a Maranda Park Party in 2008 and 2010, with over 4,000 in attendance both years. The party will again take place in the large field outside Cedar View Elementary School and guests can expect the same great party atmosphere, but with a new twists.
“Something unique to our Cedar Springs Park Party is a partnership with Jennie O,” said Maranda. “Working with the Cedar Springs Public Schools, Jennie O will be providing every party guest with a delicious grilled turkey burger for lunch. This is something we’ve never done before and are excited to offer this to families in Cedar Springs.”
For the past 18 years, Maranda has hosted free Park Parties around West Michigan. All parties include treats from sponsors including McDonalds, Cheez Kurls, Ice Mountain and Country Fresh Ice Cream, several large scale inflatable activities, continuous stage entertainment, and interactive booths hosted by local non-profit organizations.
