Free Women’s Exercise Class

Mar. 2: Come Walk Away the Pounds at the Solon Center Wesleyan Church. Beginning Friday, Mar. 2nd. This 5 week walking program is for all ages and all fitness levels. There will be open walking and the use of Leslie Sansone’s Walk Away the Pounds videos. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6 – 7 pm. Please contact the church office at 616-696-3229 or scwc@juno.com and register for this free class, which will start you on your way in increased fitness and weight loss. Dinner at the Legion

Mar. 5: American Legion, 80 Main St. Cedar Springs, is hosting a Swiss steak  dinner on Monday, March 5 from 5 – 7 pm. Included will be mashed potatoes, baked beans, veggies, rolls, dessert and drink. All dinners are $9, children $4. Take out is available. #9p

Mar. 8: Sunsets. Lakes. Wildlife. Lighthouses. Sand Dunes. Snowflakes. Spencer Township Kent District Library, 14960 Meddler, is where you can explore what makes the Great Lakes state great! This family program will offer a roomful of fun activity stations including windmill and lighthouse crafts, a scavenger hunt, a Michigan teams tabletop game and much more. Romeo & Juliet Together (and Alive) At Last

Mar. 8-10: The Sparta Middle School Production Company will present the play “Romeo & Juliet Together (and Alive) At Last.” Tickets are $5 and can be reserved by calling 616-887-7506 ext. 1355 or purchased at the door. All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner

Mar. 9: The Maple Valley Fire Dept. is sponsoring an All You Can Eat spaghetti dinner for the 150th Anniversary of Coral – Friday, March 9 from 5 – 8 pm at the Coral Community Center. Adults $6, 4-12 yrs. $4, 0-3 yrs. free. Special for family, 2 adults and 2 or more children. #9


2012 Cedar Springs Band Auction

Mar. 10: On Sat. March 10 at 6pm there will be a dinner and auction benefiting the Cedar Springs Public School Bands.  Entertainment provided by the High School and Middle School Jazz Bands. Tickets are $10 per person and are available at the High School Office or High School Band Room until March 7th. Dinner includes chicken, potato, vegetable, salad, rolls and dessert. Mar. 10: Mammals are marvelous! Everyone knows that, but not everyone knows what makes a mammal a mammal. Travel on the Nile through Egypt

Mar. 12: Travel on the Nile through Egypt on March 12, 2012 for the small cost of $10 per person. The event is sponsored by the Cedar Springs Area Parks and Recreation Department and is held at the Cedar Springs High School Auditorium. This  multimedia presentation will take you through Alexandria, Cairo and to the Pyramids of Giza while also learning about the Egyptian Museum and King Tutankhamen’s exhibit to just name a few of the aspects of the presentation.
