Spaghetti Supper

Christmas Bazaar
Dec. 3: A Christmas Bazaar at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 180 Northland Dr., Sand Lake on Dec. 3 from 9 am to 3 pm. Luncheon, bake sale, raffle, white elephant and several crafters.  #47,48p

3rd – 6th Grade Boys Rocket Basketball
Dec. 3: Boys rocket basketball starts Sat. Dec. 3. 3rd – 4th grade is 9 – 10:30 am and $55. 5th grad is 10:30 – noon and $65. 6th grade is noon – 1:30 pm and $65. Cookie Walk at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
Dec. 3: St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 310 E. Division, Rockford will hold their annual Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 3rd from 9 am until cookies are gone. Proceeds go to mission projects.  #48p

Dinners at the Legion
Dec. 5: The American Legion, 80 S. Main St. Cedar Springs will host a Roast Beef Dinner on Mon. Dec. 5 from 5 – 7 pm. Dinner includes mashed potatoes, baked beans, veggies, rolls, dessert and drinks. All dinners are $8, child $4. Take out available. The next dinner will be Mar. 5, 2012.  #48

TOPS weight loss support group
Dec. 6: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weight loss goals! Exercise 8-8:30am (optional), weigh-ins from 8:30am–9am and the meeting starts at 9:15am. CS Public Library Steering Committee Meeting
Dec. 6: 50,000 reasons to be a part of the Cedar Springs Public Library’s Fundraising Steering Committee…if you want to be involved in the nitty-gritty of raising a $50,000 Matching Grant or want to show support, come to the Cedar Springs Middle School, Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 pm upstairs in the large meeting room.  #48

Kids Night Out at The Springs
Dec. 10: Kids, you don’t want to miss out on a fun night of games, crafts & popcorn! Parents, this is a great time for Christmas shopping, a date night or just alone time. When: Dec. 10. Time: Drop off at 6 pm and pick up at 9:30 pm. Cost: $10 per child ($25 for 3 or more children in one family). The nursery will be open for infants and toddlers. Auditions for Murder Mystery
Dec. 12-13: The Montcalm Community College Drama Club will conduct auditions for “The Boardwalk Melody Hour Murders,” on Dec. 12 and 13 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Barn Theater on the college’s Sidney campus. The play is an audience-participation dinner theater to be performed at Clifford Lake Inn on Feb. 17 and 18. It is a murder mystery set in the 1930s, which is partially scripted and partially adlib. Auditions are open to all actors, and they may attend one or both nights of auditions. Five women and three men, age 18 and older, will be cast. North Kent Toastmasters Club Teaches Valuable Speaking & Leadership Skills
