Youth donate books to library

The Modern Woodmen of America youth group weeded through their home libraries and brought over 200 books to the Cedar Springs Public Library on September 21.
Eight teens (Jake and Elieen Nelson, Jonathan Shively, Christina Pangborn, Roger Hansen, Grace and Garrett Ebenhoh, and Maddy Misner), accompanied by seven adults made their way to the library and piled dozens of books on a table in the children’s area of the library. Most of the books were new and some were a new series that the library did not yet own.
The Modern Woodmen are always looking for service projects and are behind the scenes at the local food pantry, the library, the cemetery, local nursing homes and more. The Cedar Springs Public Library has a new, beautiful book return thanks to the matching gift from the Woodmen in the amount of $2500. John and Annette Nelson of Cedar Springs have been long-time leaders of the Cedar Springs group.
