Scrap metal theft in Coral

On August 28, 2011, Troopers from the Michigan State Police Post in Lakeview responded to the Village of Coral, Montcalm County, in reference to a reported theft in progress. There were reportedly two males stealing duct work, shelving and other scrap metal. The owner of the property confronted the two male subjects before police arrived. The suspects were still there when Troopers got to the scene.
After investigation, both suspects were arrested for the theft. A 25-year-old male and a 22-year-old male, both from Howard City, were lodged at the Montcalm County Jail pending arraignment.
