Pierson Outdoor Market opens June 10

The Pierson Township board approved construction of the Pierson Outdoor Market located .04 miles west of US131 Pierson Exit 114.The 5-acre market will be easily accessible to vendors and customers, and will feature 60 20×30 stalls with ample free customer parking and admission. Twelve events are planned beginning June 10, 2011 and running every other Friday through the end of September. Stacy Frodl, owner of Sticks-N-Stones Etc in Pierson and partner in the market says, “This will be a Farmers market, a Flea market, a Crafters market and a Garage sale market all rolled in to one.” Live animal sales and Concession food sales are prohibited.

Bands are being booked for each event day to promote customer and vendor attendance. The Pierson Outdoor Market has been approached by several organizations requesting information to hold summer swap meets.

Pierson Township, a small community in southwestern Montcalm County, is known for its many lakes and cottages and is the perfect spot for this type of market. Many people from all around Michigan and surrounding states vacation nearby during the summer months.
