Donald Paul Ringler

Mr. Donald Paul Ringler, age 88, of Greenville, died Saturday morning, January 22, 2011 at Metron of Cedar Springs.  He was born February 11, 1922 in Sand Lake.  He was a proud veteran, having served his country in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of both the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 in Greenville and the Olson-Kiste VFW Post 4406 in Belding.  He was a long-time employee of Frigidaire in Greenville, retiring in 1986.  Don is survived by his children, Irene (Mike) Buck of Cedar Springs, Ronald (Pam) Ringler of Cedar Springs, Linda (Gary) Grice of Sand Lake, Robert Ringler (Heidi Newhouse) of Newaygo County, and Marie (Dean) Covey of Cedar Springs; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; brother, Basil Ringler of Cedar Springs; and sister, Helen Woodward of Rockford.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Howard Ringler and a sister Mary Dingman.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Herb Vanderbilt officiating.  Military honors will be rendered by the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Burial will be in Sand Lake Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Ray I.
