The Cedar Springs Red Hawks girls varsity basketball team is off to a good start with two wins last week.
On November 30, they faced off against Greenville. They had a slow start, but by half time the Red Hawks led by 14-11. The Hawks never lost the lead throughout the game, and when it was all over, they defeated the Yellow Jackets 47-36.
Leading scorers for the Hawks were Tiffany Karger with 10 points, and Rachael Ludtke with 9 points.
The Red Hawks traveled to Lowell on December 2 and took on the Red Arrows. The Lady Red Hawks had a commanding start and led into the half 16-6. Lowell came back within one point in the 4th quarter but never took the lead.
Tiffany Karger led the Hawks with 15 points, and Rachael Ludtke was close behind with 13 points.
The girls took on Forest Hills Eastern Tuesday evening, and came out with a win. Read about it in next week’s Post!
