Boys cross country finishes 4th at regionals

Mora finishes as regional champ

The boys cross country team traveled to Benzie High School for their Division 2 regionals.  The team was ranked 6th going into the meet. However, the boys were not about to let rankings get to them. The team ran some of their personal best times of the season to finish 4th overall, one place away from qualifying as a team for the state meet.

Leading the Red Hawks was state qualifier Connor Mora who ran his personal best time of 15:42, winning the meet and becoming the regional champ.  Finishing 20th was Alex Bray with a time of 16:59.  Aaron Brooks also ran his personal best time of 17:12 to finish 25th, Justin Harthorn was 30th with his best time of 17:20 and Ethan Menefee was 52nd with a time of 17:55.  Seniors Justin Balczak and Justin Lubben finished out their great seasons with great times of  18:03 and 18:16.

Great season to the boys and their coach Ted Sabinas. Good Luck to Connor at the state meet next weekend on his 16th birthday!
