Police seek help with larcenies in Algoma

scratches on carThe Kent County Sheriff’s Office is investigating multiple larcenies from motor vehicles and several Malicious Destruction of Property incidents in Algoma Township. Most of the incidents happened Saturday night, October 2, into the early morning hours of Sunday, October 3.
There are over 15 victims of these crimes. The suspects have been randomly breaking  the windshields of vehicles, slashing tires, keying  vehicles, cutting trampolines, and stealing anything of value that was left inside vehicles  (i.e. IPODs, GPS systems).
Deputies estimate the total amount of property damaged to be in excess of $10,000.00.
rip in truck cover interior damageThe Kent County Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone that has information that could lead to the apprehension of the individuals involved call Deputy Tonya Walkons at  616 632- 6181  x 4196 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
