This past week the Cedar Springs Red Hawk 8th grade team took on the Yellow Jackets from Greenville. Throughout the contest both teams fought to gain yards against two very strong defenses. In the second quarter, the Hawks were finally able to score with a touchdown run by Kaden Meyers, who broke three tackles along the way, to give the Hawks a 6 to 0 lead going into half.

Late in the game, with the Hawks up 6-0, the Red Hawks were deep in their own territory on a 4th and long. The Cedar Springs punter took the snap and stepped out of the back of the end zone to give Greenville 2 points.

The Red Hawks defense played strong throughout the game to make sure that Greenville would not score. The final to this game was Red Hawks 6, Yellow Jackets 2. The 8th grade team improved to 4 and 0 were scheduled travel to Comstock Park Wednesday to take on the Panthers.
