The Cedar Springs Historical Museum was recently given a collection of photos once owned by Jessie Goodell. They were donated by her son, Richard Goodell.
Genealogist Betty Heiss said they don’t know who the people in the photos are, and asking the public for their help. Do you recognize any of the people in the photos? Betty said the photos were tintypes, probably taken between 1860 and 1880. She thinks they may have been relatives of the Goodells and were probably from the Cedar Springs/Solon Township area. Some of the possible last names could be Goodell, Cramer, Goozen, Heiss, or Beardsley.
If you think you know who they might be, you can contact the museum at 696-3335 or the Cedar Springs Post at 696-3655. You can also email us at postnews@charter.net.
