Neighborhood watch picnic

The Montcalm County Neighborhood Watch program is again offering an old-fashioned summer picnic for the whole family to enjoy. This year’s event will be held at the McCarthy Park located on M-91 in Turk Lake on Saturday, August 7, from Noon until 3:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy free hot dogs, chips, and ice cream, plus lots of fun and entertainment.

Many exhibits and displays will be available including a smoke house, face painting, the Montcalm County Canine Unit, the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Mounted Division, Montcalm County Animal Shelter, “Save Our Children” pseudo-drunk driving course, police and fire equipment, a D.J. (Teresa Good) playing your favorite tunes, the Salvation Army Mobile Response Team, a 911 Dispatch display, and much more.

Please plan to bring your family for an afternoon of entertainment, fun, and free food. Our goal is to bring community members together to socialize and discover the array of services Montcalm County has to offer.

If you have any questions, please contact Dawn Miles at 616-788-8602.
