Patrick James O Brien, 40 of Cedar Springs, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Perrysburg, Ohio. Patrick was born July 12, 1969 in Lapeer, MI the son of James and Judith (Whitney) O’Brien. He was a train engineer for CSX Transportation for the past 16 years. He was a loving father, devoted husband, and great friend. Surviving are his wife, Teresa; two daughters, Whitney and Cortney; parents, James (Judith) O’Brien; grandparents, Robert (Margaret) O’Brien; sisters, Jamie O’Brien and Leslie O’Brien; nephew, Jordan. He was preceded in death by his birth father, Richard Salmond. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Friday 11:00 am at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Sharon Baptist Cemetery, Green Cove Springs, Florida. Memorial donations for the children’s education fund may be made at Chase Bank.
