Shakespeare is considered the pinnacle of theatrical genius, but that status is surely threatened when a small town theater troupe attempts to perform Shakespeare’s finest scenes—all in one play. Come join in the hilarity of “Hamlet and Eggs” a new comedy by Cedar Springs’ playwrights Scott and Zachary Phillips.
Performances are May 20, 21, 22 at 7:30 p.m. and May 23 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kent Theatre. Advance tickets $10.00 at Chase Bank, Cedar Springs Library, and Soul Infusions Tea Shop or $12.00 at the door. Sunday matinee is $5 for 18 and under.
“Hamlet and Eggs” is Scott Phillips’ fourth play. His co-author and son, Zachary, recently caught the theater bug and this is his writing debut. Although Zachary is currently studying marketing at Valparaiso, the Phillips family resides in Cedar Springs, where they are all active in the local theater community.
The historic Kent Theatre is located at 8 N. Main Street in Cedar Springs, Michigan.
