Mayfest Bluegrass Music Festival

Bluegrass music is American music, pure, honest and beutiful in it’s simplicity. Come celebrate and enjoy this most American music at Mayfest 2010. Join us on May 14-16, 2010 at the Kent County Youth Fairgrounds in Lowell, Michigan for a music festival that the whole family can enjoy. We will have instrument workships, a huge barn and bake sale, craft and food vendors, and lots of campsite jammin’. And then there are our Bluegrass music stage acts all weekend long.

Our headliner this year is The Chapmans Bluegrass Band. Bluegrass doesn’t get any better than The Chapmans Band. You have got to be sure to hear this phenomenal straight ahead Bluegrass group. Be sure to bring lawnchairs/blankets for the concert under our all weather canopy. It’s Bluegrass music, come rain or shine.

Friday night the Thunder Floor Cloggers, Blue County Line, The Luke Lenhart Band, Heart to Heart and the Black Canyon Band will entertain you from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Friday admission is just $10.00. Saturday from noon until 10:00 pm, it’s the Chapmans at 4:00 pm and 8:35 pm plus Schlitz Creek, Cats and the Fiddler, R.J. Thomas and the Windy Mountain Boys and the Thunder Floor Cloggers. Saturday’s price is only $15.00 for the entire day’s events. Sunday at 10:00 am enjoy the gospel sounds of Nobody’s Darlin’ along with other audition bands and a chance to win $100. Sunday admission is $5.00. Save money adn come for the whole weekend for $20.00 advance ticket or $25.00 at the gate.
