Munson Robinson

Mr. Munson Robinson, age 73, of Pierson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 16, 2010. He was a graduate of Kent City High School. When Munson was in his 20’s, he was a professional logger in the state of Oregon and had many interesting stories about those days. He also was a trainer of wild horses and received his share of bumps and bruises from being bucked off.  Be sure to ask his family about the story of “Babe.” He worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service and especially enjoyed working at the US Post Office at the airport. Munson was a gentleman who was polite, true to his word, quiet, honest, faithful, and adventurous. He liked to travel, and enjoyed the polka and square dance. Munson is survived by his daughter, Kristen and Tony Deuling of Fremont; grandchildren, Kathryn, Joe, Kayla, and Kara Deuling; sister, Sally and Don Fegles; nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Pat Fisk and her family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma on February 2, 2001, and a brother, Armand. The Service of Praise and Thanksgiving to God for the gift of eternal life for Mr. Robinson was Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 16028 Isabella St., Coral with Pastor Bert Boes officiating. Interment in Solon Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider Hospice of Michigan.   Relatives and friends met  with the family at the Pederson Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
