
The Girls track hosted Muskegon Mona Shores on Wednesday March 31 at Red Hawk Stadium. The girls lost a close meet that came done to the last event by a score of 69 to 67. The team’s record is now 2 and 1. After spring break the team starts the OK Blue season by hosting Belding and West Catholic on April 15 in a double dual. Field events start at 4 p.m. and running events start at 5 p.m. Placing for the Red Hawks against Mona Shores was:
1st Place: Amber TerHaar Shot Put and Discus; Haley Hawes Pole Vault; Breeann Ovokaitys 1600, 800 and 3200 meter runs; Rieley Hondalus in the 400 meter dash; 3200 meter relay team of Katie Weiler, Jessica Titus, Amanda Zinn, and Breeann Ovokaitys.
2nd Place: Rieley Hondalus Long Jump and 200 meter dash; Shaelyn Fasel 100 meter hurdles; Sommer Van Dyke 100 and 400 meter dashes; Katie Weiler 1600 and 3200 meter runs; Amanda Balczak 300 meter hurdles.
3rd Place: Jeanette Sukstas Shot Put and Discus; Amanda Zinn 800 meter run; Abby VanDusen Long Jump and 200 meter dash; Rieley Hondalus 100 meter dash; Jessica Titus 3200 meter dash.
