JV Cheer wins conference

This season has been one for the record books for CSHS JV Cheer.  Never in the history of Cedar Springs cheer has a team won the conference title. The 2009-2010 JV Cheer team was able to walk away with that title this year!

At the beginning of the season, the team sat down and wrote down the goals they wanted to accomplish for this year. One of those goals was the conference championship title. According to Coach Anna Ramirez, tt was a challenge to achieve that goal, and the girls worked extremely hard and overcame many obstacles to get there.

“I have an amazing amount of talent on this team. We were able to make tons of improvements over the season.  I can’t wait to see the accomplishments they continue to make over the next few years,” remarked Ramirez.

The conference final meet was supposed to take place on Wednesday, February 10, but West Michigan was once again in a winter storm warning and many schools were closed on Wednesday. The competition was postponed until Thursday. This gave the JV team one more day to work together before they ended their season at the Conference Final meet.  “I am sad to see this season come to a finish.  I will truly miss seeing these girls on a daily basis. I am proud to have coached these young ladies,” noted Ramirez. “Their determination, hard work,  and genuine support for myself and all of their teammates is remarkable!”
