Ten youth wrestlers take first place

Byron Center High School was host to the latest MYWAY wrestling tournament on Sunday, January 31, 2010.  Cedar youth wrestlers soared above the competition taking a total of ten first place finishes, more than any other club in attendance.

All of Cedar’s wrestlers in the 5/6 year old division took first place! Those wrestlers were Landon Demorest 37lbs, Trenton Wachter 52b, Jeremy Campione 58lbs, and Aiden Bouwens 61lbs.  Placers in the 7/8 year old division were Trenton Snoeyink 55b/1st, Reese Gonzales 58a/1st, Logan Hull 58b/2nd, Austin Wier 72lbs/3rd, and Ryan Ringler 77lbs/1st.  In the 9/10 year old division placers were Aaron Smith 59a/2nd, Nick Campione 71b/4th, Allexis Gonzales 75b/1st, Shamus Kee 85a/4th, George Gonzales Jr 110a/1st, and Jeremy Wildfong 150lbs/4th.  In the 11/12 year old division were Jordan Ringler with a 1st in the 65lb class and Connor Goike wtih a 2nd in the 119lb class.  Vance Demorest rounded off the results with a 4th place finish in the 13-15 year old weight class.
