A D.N.R. snowmobile course is being offered Monday, February 1, Wednesday, February 3, from 6-9 p.m. at the Kent County Sheriff Department, 701 Ball Ave NE in Grand Rapids.

Registrations are being taken at 616-632-6237. You MUST pre-register, but there is no cost to attend. Parents are welcome to attend with their child.

This training is required for an operator who is at least 12 years of age and under 17 to operate a snowmobile without adult supervision. The law also reads that a person from age 12 but less than 17 is required to have a safety certificate to legally cross a street or highway.
